Most Picpoul tastes the same: it is often a light and refreshing but simple white wine. This example from Naticco is anything but, and the secret lies in how they harvest the grapes. Instead of making one pick, a portion of the fruit is picked early for freshness, while a second pick takes place later in the harvest in order to achieve ripe fruit character. The resulting wine has a beautiful stone fruit quality (apricot and peach), with zesty lime and mineral flavors on the finish. Amazing quality for the price!
