Nikalas Marani - Burdeshuri Saperavi

The 2019 vintage of this wine is a blend of 80% Budeshuri Saperavi and 20% Saperavi, offering the best of both worlds. While the vineyard is renowned for producing heavier wines, this particular red is a delightful and lighter option. It presents a lush and juicy character with subtle hints of smoke and sweet spice. For an added twist, it can be enjoyed slightly chilled, making it a versatile choice. The wine undergoes direct pressing and is aged in qvevri, clay pots, for a year, which imparts an earthy edge and enhances its complexity. With low added SO2 and being unfined and unfiltered, it retains its natural essence and purity.
