"The NV Antique Oloroso is open and expressive in the nose, with a predominant note of hazelnuts and varnished wood, a sweet touch of spices, brandy filled chocolates and orange rind. The perfectly balanced palate shows intense, clean, pure flavors and great length. 5,000 bottles produced yearly. Drink 2013-2016." -Luis Gutierrez
Blend: Solely composed of 100% Palomino Fino grapes.
Vineyards: The grapes are cultivated in the estate vineyard called "Pago Balbaino," which features white albariza soils rich in 70-80% limestone content.
Winemaking: The Antique Oloroso is a remarkable Sherry that attains an average age exceeding twenty years, granting it the esteemed designation of VOS (Vinum Optimum Signatum or Very Old Sherry). The grapes undergo pressing and fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Subsequently, the wine is fortified to 20 degrees and undergoes oxidative aging through the traditional solera and criaderas system.
